Book now

Wimble Hill stands proud in the view from the snug, with the hillsides running away from it into the distance. Wimble View is a stylish detached bungalow in the traditional hamlet of Kinnerton, set back off a country lane behind a gate, and this dog friendly home sleeps six with two dogs welcome.

Footpaths and bridleways lead from the front door into the Radnor Hills, and the entrance lobby is ready for the return, with ample storage for boots, somewhere to hang coats and the laundry. The kitchen has a sit up breakfast bar so the cooks stay in the conversation, and it opens into the snug, where French doors lead out to the large patio and the dogs follow the smell of the barbecue.

Evenings belong to the spacious lounge and diner, tastefully furnished, with a generous corner seat facing the Smart TV, its table for six looking out on wonderful countryside. Three beautifully finished bedrooms lead off a hallway from the snug, the king size among them with views to wake up to, with a family bathroom and a cloakroom besides. Outside, the enclosed gardens are grassy and open in aspect, with a large picnic table, a barbecue and a couple of sun loungers, and two dogs can watch for wildlife with you through a lazy afternoon.

Kington, 5 miles away, is a market town with good shops and places to eat and a renowned centre for walking, where two dogs can join the Offa's Dyke footpath. The Mortimer Trail and the walks up to Hergest Ridge are close by, Presteigne and its award winning Judge's Lodging Museum are 6.5 miles off, and Hay-on-Wye, Builth Wells and medieval Ludlow are all within reach.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is Wimble View dog friendly?

Yes, Wimble View welcomes up to two dogs. The gardens are enclosed, so your dogs can enjoy the outdoor space safely, and footpaths and bridleways start directly from the lane outside — meaning you can head straight out into the Radnor hills without loading anyone into the car.

  • Are dogs allowed at Wimble View year round?

The listing doesn't specify any seasonal restrictions on dogs, and the property has clearly been set up with dogs as a permanent part of the picture — from the enclosed gardens to the entrance lobby designed to handle boots, coats and muddy arrivals before anything else. It's worth confirming directly with the owner if you have a specific date in mind.

  • What should I know before visiting Wimble View with my dog?

The property accepts a maximum of two dogs, so it's not the right fit if you're bringing a larger pack. On the plus side, the setup is genuinely practical: an entrance lobby handles the wet and muddy end of the day, the gardens are enclosed for off-lead time close to home, and walks including Hergest Ridge — where dogs can be let off — are within easy reach.
