The park sits in the sand dunes at Upton Towans near Hayle, perched right on the shore-front with direct access to a three-mile stretch of private sandy beach, and with pets welcome across the grades it makes a dog friendly holiday base in Cornwall.

Stays run from camping pods and chalets to caravans graded Value through to Indulgent, plus Exclusive homes such as the Thalassa with its hot tub, the Indulgent Lodge with Seaview and The Butterfly, set on the front row for St Ives Bay views. The Value Chalets welcome up to two dogs, and from March to November there are grass and electric grass pitches for camping and touring, where your pets are welcome as well.

Sands Bistro is the place to eat with the dog. Away invite you to bring everyone, not forgetting the dog, to sit in or out with views of the beach and watch the sun set over the sea, and the bistro is dog friendly with a doggy menu of its own. The Doggy Pawgramme, available from 4 April, lines up activities designed around your four-legged family member. On park, dogs should be kept tethered, any mess picked up, and no dog left alone in the accommodation.

Gwithian Beach is right on the doorstep and dog friendly, Away say, and so is St Ives, less than 10 minutes' drive, with its cobbled streets and harbour. Penzance, Camborne, Trevaskis Farm and the St Ives Railway, which follows the coast with views out over St Ives Bay, are listed as dog friendly too, and certain areas of St Michael's Mount welcome dogs.
