1 / 8The Lakes Rookley
Rookley, Isle of Wight
Yes. Dogs are welcome at The Lakes Rookley, up to 2 dogs per booking.
The Lakes Rookley is a lakeside holiday park in the heart of the Isle of Wight, with places to stay that suit a dog and a welcome for dogs in The Lakeside Bar and Eatery.
With a lake in the middle of the resort and trees around the water, The Lakes Rookley sits in the heart of the Isle of Wight, and Away call it the ideal resort for explorers of all kinds, including your little ones and four-legged friends. It is a dog friendly holiday park where, Away promise, the smaller members of the family, on two legs or four furry ones, are sure to be happily tuckered out at the end of every day.
Accommodation takes in caravans in Comfort, Superior and Luxury grades, the Exclusive Island Cottages, with stylish décor and open plan living, and the Lakehouses, where you look out at the lake. Cottages and caravans with your own exclusive hot tub are part of the range. There are dog friendly places to stay for you and your four legged friend.
On park, dogs are welcome at Guest Services, the Holiday Home Sales office and, best of all, The Lakeside Bar and Eatery, which serves a range of meals to suit every appetite, from light bites to scrumptious salads and evening meals, and has a veranda overlooking the lake. Booking a table is recommended. While the dog settles in with you there, the rest of the day can take in indoor and outdoor heated pools, the outdoor one seasonal, and seasonal kayaking and paddleboarding on the lake.
Away list Rookley itself, with Rookley Country Park, pubs and tea rooms, as dog friendly and less than 10 minutes' drive, and Ventnor and Godshill Model Village are just as close. The Chequers Inn, a friendly country pub, welcomes dogs too. Between 10 and 20 minutes away, Shanklin Beach, Shanklin Chine, Blackgang Chine, the UK's oldest amusement park, and the island's steam railway are all listed as dog friendly.
