1 / 8One Aldwych
Westminster, London
Yes. Dogs can stay in selected rooms.
A five star hotel at the centre of Covent Garden. Dogs stay in dedicated bedrooms and suites, with an ergonomic bed, a bowl, towels and treats.
One Aldwych has been at the centre of Covent Garden since 1998, in a building put up in 1905 as the home of the Morning Post. This dog friendly hotel takes well behaved dogs in the bedrooms and suites set aside for them, provided they are past their first birthday and fully house-trained.
Dogs up to medium size qualify, and the Reservations team wants your dog's details at the time of booking so the room is ready, with a dog policy to sign on arrival. Their own ergonomic bed comes with a dog bowl, towels and treats from Bow Wow London, a dog boutique and grooming parlour. Dogs are not allowed to be left alone in the bedroom.
Dogs can join you in the Library or the Lobby Bar until 5pm, the Library being the guest-only lounge on the ground floor. Dogs are not allowed in the restaurants or the Health Club. Indigo is the signature restaurant, and the afternoon tea takes its cue from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
Under the hotel is an 18-metre lap pool, chlorine-free thanks to a mineral cleaning system, with a sauna and steam room too and a gym fitted with the latest equipment. There are twelve suites and four Signature Suites, and a 400-strong collection of contemporary art runs through the building. The hotel points dog walkers to Lincoln's Inn Fields, and Wildpack's Victoria Park Perimeter Walk is 3.7 miles out for a dog with more in the tank.
Facts checked October 2026 from the hotel's own website. Details can change, so please confirm anything important, especially the dog rules, with the hotel before you book.
