1 / 8Warkworth House Hotel
Warkworth, Northumberland
Yes. Dogs can stay in selected rooms, up to 2 dogs per room.
A family run, pet friendly hotel in the Northumberland village of Warkworth, where well behaved dogs can relax beside you in the bar and the lounge.
After a long walk, the bar at Warkworth House Hotel is made for settling in with your companion: it is entirely pet friendly, and the lounge is too. This dog friendly hotel is family run, in the heart of Northumberland, and stands in the village of Warkworth among artisan shops and inns, with an impressive castle close by.
Well behaved pets are part of the warm welcome, with up to two pets allowed, and the rooms are en suite with king sized beds and free toiletries. The top floor is kept pet free, so guests with allergies can ask for a room up there. The hotel doesn't say if a dog may stay behind in the room unattended, so check that before booking. For ideas on dog friendly walks, ask the staff at reception, who are glad to recommend some.
Dogs are welcome throughout the bar, a good place to unwind with yours over a drink, with cocktails and specials that change regularly. In the Bistro you'll find traditional decor, subdued lighting and generous portions cooked to order from Northumberland's locally sourced food, and the bistro menu is served in the bar in the evening too. The restaurant itself is a pet free area, and the hotel doesn't state where else a dog may join you for food, so ring ahead to check.
Wildpack lists Warkworth to Amble Coastal Path 0.7 miles from the hotel and the Alnmouth Coastal Walk at 2.8 miles, and Warkworth Beach is Wildpack's nearest dog friendly beach.
