Aberdovey Orchard View is an elegant period house in the heart of Aberdovey, with lovely estuary views and an enclosed tiered garden for sitting out from dawn to dusk. Friends, family and the dog can all relax here, and this dog friendly home for six puts the beach, shops and pubs within 0.2 miles.

The hall leads through to a gorgeous open plan living space with access to the garden. The kitchen is a sociable place to cook with produce from the village, meals and card games happen at the dining table by the window, and the spacious lounge area has comfortable sofas, a chair and a Smart TV for cosy nights in, with the dog settled at somebody's feet. A fantastic boot room off the kitchen holds boots, coats, bikes and paddleboards and leads to a downstairs WC. The king-size bedroom has a charming en suite, and with the twin and the bunk room it shares lovely views to wake up to, plus a stylish shower room.

The garden begins in the lower courtyard, where a pretty bench suits a peaceful morning coffee and the utility room has its washing machine. Steps rise to the decked patio, then to more seating on the level above, and finally to the upper lawns, made for an aperitif before dinner with the dog beside you and the views all around.

Aberdovey is a coastal resort with a harbour, a championship golf course and miles of golden beaches backed by sand dunes, and a wonderful base for walkers and their dogs. Pubs and restaurants serve local seafood, and the Dyfi Estuary is a favourite for sailing, windsurfing, canoeing and fishing.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is Aberdovey Orchard View dog friendly?

Yes, Aberdovey Orchard View welcomes one dog. It's a proper setup for a dog too — there's a boot room for muddy kit on the way back in, a tiered enclosed garden you can let them into without a lead in hand, and the beach, harbour and miles of dune-backed sand are all within a few hundred yards of the front door.

  • Are dogs allowed at Aberdovey Orchard View year round?

The listing doesn't specify any seasonal restrictions on dogs, so it's worth contacting the property directly to confirm availability for your dates. What is clear is that the location works well year round — a village with four pubs, an estuary and dunes doesn't lose its appeal once summer's over.

  • What should I know before visiting Aberdovey Orchard View with my dog?

One dog is welcome, and the enclosed tiered garden means you can open the door without worrying about them bolting. The sofa is apparently negotiable. Everything a dog needs — beach, open dunes, estuary — is within easy walking distance of the house, so you won't need the car once you've arrived.
