The house is called Botany Lodge and Botany Bay lies half a mile along the road, which is about as direct as a name gets. It is a dog friendly Victorian cottage on the edge of Broadstairs, six sleeping across three bedrooms, a fully enclosed garden whose patio keeps the sun for most of a day, and two dogs welcome. The hall was built with room in it for dropping boots and coats.
That hall sounds like nothing until two dogs and six people come back off chalk sand together. A large family shower room sits upstairs and a WC downstairs, so the animals get seen to outside and at ground level while the shower is left to the people.
The big bed is a super king with a king beside it and bunks in the third room, so the house divides into two couples and the children rather than into six of anything. The Viking Coastal Trail passes the end of the road, a made and level path following this coast in both directions, so two dogs get a traffic free walk that begins at the gate rather than in a car park.
