East Drums Farmhouse is a fabulous, stylish detached farmhouse 2 miles from Brechin, with wonderful views over the countryside and rolling hills and the Angus coastline close by. It sleeps eight and welcomes two dogs, and with large dining and social spaces inside and out, it is a dog friendly house made for feasts with family and friends.
The back door opens into a spacious cloak area for kicking off wellies, and the dogs come in that way too after a walk. The modern kitchen has a generous utility room behind it, and its double doors slide back to a formal dining room that seats eight beside an open fire, running through to a sunroom with a Smart TV and the Angus views. Across the hallway the spacious lounge has a wood burner. This ground floor is the dogs' part of the house, as they are asked not to go upstairs. A family bathroom with a full size Victorian bath is on this floor, and the four beautiful bedrooms are on the first, the master with an en suite WC and views to Montrose.
Outside, the beautiful enclosed garden has an extensive lawn over two levels and a patio with seating, and the two dogs have the lawn to stretch their legs on while the table is laid.
The Angus Coastal Route is close, with Lunan Bay and its natural sea cave and an abundance of walking routes and scenic beaches to keep the dogs busy. Montrose Basin Nature Reserve is home to over 80,000 migratory birds, golfers have the championship course at Carnoustie, and Dundee, with RRS Discovery and the V&A, is a drive away, as is Broughty Ferry.
