Ed's Barn is a delightful detached stone barn conversion on a country lane with easy access to the sought after village of Dundry, a short drive from Bristol, and it sleeps four, with two dogs on the booking too. The owners pick it out as a location for fantastic walks for you and your four legged friends, and this dog friendly barn has an enclosed garden to come back to.
Inside, one bright and cosy open plan room holds the lounge, kitchen and diner, with comfy seating for a film and a well equipped kitchen for lazy breakfasts or old family favourites, and the two dogs can settle in while the car is unpacked. A twin downstairs has an en suite WC and patio doors opening into the garden, and on the first floor the master double is built into the eaves, with an en suite shower room on that floor.
Outside, the enclosed garden to the side of the barn has a patio for sitting out, with furniture and a BBQ ready. It is where morning coffee happens while the day is planned, with both dogs underfoot and walking boots ready, and for the BBQ when everyone is back.
The Mendips, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, are within reach for walks with the dogs, as are spectacular Cheddar Gorge and Wookey Hole, and the lakes at Blagdon and Chew Valley are local. Bristol has its shopping, museums, theatre, galleries, aquarium and zoo, the historic spa city of Bath and the cathedral city of Wells lie a little further off, and the large sandy beach at Weston-super-Mare offers a taste of the traditional English seaside.
