Porthdinllaen beach is less than 0.25 miles from the door at Garnedd, a luxurious detached house in Morfa Nefyn with gorgeous interiors and one small dog welcome. Six guests share this dog friendly house in a National Landscape on the Llyn Peninsula, where scenic walking routes are in abundance.

From the hall, with its separate WC, the house opens into a lounge, kitchen and dining room flooded with natural light and leading out to the paved garden. The dining table overlooks the garden, there are comfortable sofas and a log burner with a starter pack of logs, and the dog will curl up by it once the evening walk is done. On the ground floor sits a lovely en suite double, while upstairs the king size bedroom has a Smart TV and gorgeous en suite, joined by a beautiful twin and a large family shower room.

Garnedd's games room holds table tennis, table football and a Smart TV, with a walk-in shower handily close, ready for a rinse before the wood-fired hot tub, which guests light themselves with the instructions provided. The enclosed garden at the back is paved and planted, a lovely sun trap with outdoor furniture and a gazebo for shade, and the dog can lie out in the sun while you eat outdoors.

Morfa Nefyn is a seaside village of sheltered waters, fine sandy beaches and interesting rock pools, where you can watch the local fishermen come and go with the dog at your side. The National Trust's Porthdinllaen and a renowned golf course are close by, and the walking, cycling and picnic spots of the Llyn will fill a week of mornings.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is Garnedd dog friendly?

Yes, Garnedd welcomes one dog. It's a five-star detached house at Morfa Nefyn with an enclosed paved garden, so your dog can be let out safely at any hour without trailing mud back through the house.

  • Are dogs allowed at Garnedd year round?

The listing doesn't specify any seasonal restrictions on dogs, so it's worth contacting the property directly to confirm availability for your dates. The enclosed garden and easy beach access make it a practical choice whatever time of year you're planning to visit.

  • What should I know before visiting Garnedd with my dog?

The garden is paved rather than lawned, which is genuinely useful — no wet grass to worry about after a beach walk, and dogs can be let out at any hour without a towel waiting by the door. One dog is welcome, and the surrounding area is excellent for walking: Morfa Nefyn's sheltered beach, the headland at Porthdinllaen, and the hills of Yr Eifl are all within reach and all fine for dogs.
