Glasslet is a luxurious, spacious cottage in the splendid Glen Clova, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the fringes of the Cairngorms National Park. Two dogs are welcome at this five star, dog friendly cottage for six, and its enclosed mature gardens have magnificent views across the Angus Glens.
From the enclosed front garden, with its views across Glen Clova, you step into a stylish hall with seating and ample storage for outdoor clothing. The fabulous open plan living space has a lounge area with French doors out to the garden, a bespoke kitchen with an electric Range oven and a spacious island with seating, and a stylish dining area. Beyond it, the quirky second lounge has the roaring wood burner, where two dogs warm up after a day in the glen.
The super-king bedroom has a cabin style bed and a very stylish en suite shower room, and up the stairs are two beautifully decorated king-size rooms, both with fantastic views over Glen Clova, and the bathroom. The utility room has rear access out to the garden, a boon when the dogs come back muddy, and the gardens are made for al fresco dining and lazy evenings stargazing. A welcome pack is waiting, and the water comes from a private supply.
Glen Doll is close at hand for Munro bagging, with ranger services available, and the area is wonderful for walking and cycling with a dog. Fishermen have the River Esk and an array of lochs within easy reach, golfers have courses from Kirriemuir to the championship course at Carnoustie, and the historic town of Kirriemuir, birthplace of J M Barrie and Bon Scott, is nearby. Dundee, Perth and Aberdeen are all within touring distance.
