Grieves Cottage is a beautiful coastal styled cottage between Montrose and Arbroath, with inspiring interiors, a wood fired hot tub and uninterrupted views across Lunan Bay and the surrounding farmland. This dog friendly cottage sleeps six with two dogs, and the white sands of Lunan Bay are 2 miles away.
All the bedrooms and living areas are on the same level, and the modern interiors, the sunroom and windows throughout fill the cottage with natural light. The well equipped kitchen leads to a dining area in the sunroom that seats six, and later the lounge is the place to get cosy in front of the wood burner with a film on the Smart TV and a glass of wine or a dram, while the dogs settle by the fire.
There are three bedrooms to choose from: a king-size four-poster, a super-king that can be made up as twins, and a bunk room with full-size bunk beds, plus a stylish family bathroom. Please note the dogs are not permitted in the bedrooms. The porch at the rear is the main entrance, and the back of the cottage has the hot tub, a fire pit, a patio with garden seating and a charcoal BBQ for dining alfresco, all looking out across the bay, with a lawn and shrubs to the front.
The beaches of St Cyrus and Montrose are within reach for long walks with the dog, rock pools or paddleboarding, and the area is great for walkers and cyclists. Arbroath, close by, has its historic abbey and the famous Arbroath smokie, Dunnottar Castle stands majestic on the coast, and Glamis Castle and the Cairngorms National Park make fine days out.
