It sleeps six and takes two. The garden is enclosed, lawn and a wide patio, and the house runs on ground source heat, so the floors are warm underfoot from the minute the door opens.
The living room is really two rooms and can be shut into two with glass doors. The lower end has the television and French windows onto the patio; two steps up is a wood burner set in stone with a window seat looking down the valley. Loughrigg, Elterwater and the Langdale valleys sit north of the cottage, and there is a boat to be had on Windermere or Coniston Water.
