Book now

This was a farmworkers' cottage and it still stands where one would, fields on every side and nothing in the way of the view in any direction. Kraft Cottage counts six across three bedrooms at Repps with Bastwick in Norfolk, dog friendly, taking two dogs, an enclosed garden and patio behind it and a bathroom to each bedroom.

Downstairs the kitchen has an island with stools along it and a utility off to one side. The lounge and dining space run together with a table for six, a long corner sofa and a wood burner whose first logs are supplied. A king bedroom is on this floor with its own bathroom, bath and separate shower and WC in it, which puts one of the six at garden level along with the two dogs.

Upstairs the landing has the countryside in it before either bedroom does. A king sits at one end with a shower room and a twin at the other with another, and the twin joins into a super king on request. The games room is not in the cottage at all: it stands apart from it with a pool table inside, so an evening in starts by going outdoors, which two dogs will treat as a bonus.

Repps with Bastwick amounts to a lane and the farms that gave it a name, out in the flat country between the Broads and the sea. What leaves the door is farm track and field edge for as far as anybody feels like going, and the view is more of the point than anything in the village is. Two dogs get horizon in every direction and a lane that hardly counts as a road.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is Kraft Cottage dog friendly?

Yes, Kraft Cottage welcomes dogs — up to two at a time. There's an enclosed garden and patio at the back of the cottage, and the surrounding countryside offers farm tracks and field-edge walking straight from the door.

  • Are dogs allowed at Kraft Cottage year round?

The listing doesn't specify any seasonal restrictions on dogs, so it's best to check directly with the owner when booking to confirm availability for your dates. What we can say is that the setting — open Norfolk countryside between the Broads and the sea — makes it a great destination whatever time of year you visit.

  • What should I know before visiting Kraft Cottage with my dog?

Kraft Cottage takes a maximum of two dogs, and the enclosed garden means they have a safe outdoor space to use whenever they need it. The ground-floor king bedroom has its own bathroom and direct garden access, which works well if you'd rather keep the dogs on one level. The games room is a separate outbuilding, so evening trips across the courtyard will likely go down well with your four-legged guests too.
