Two 17th century merchants' houses from Yarmouth's narrow Rows, an indoor guided visit, so plan your dog's day around the beach and denes instead.
Great Yarmouth was once threaded with the Rows, a dense grid of extremely narrow alleys running between the quay and the town, and these two houses are among the few survivors. Row 111 House and the Old Merchant's House were built in the early 17th century as wealthy merchants' residences and later subdivided into tenements, so they carry the whole social history of the port in one building.
Whilst you take in the painted panels, elaborate wall ties and door knockers collected from Rows houses that did not survive the war, be clear that this is an indoor, guided visit rather than a site to roam. Dogs are not covered by any published rules here, and given the confined interiors we would not plan to take a dog inside.
What does work is the location. Your dog gets South Quay a short walk away, and the beach and north denes beyond that, which give you miles of open sand and dune, much of it dog friendly outside the summer restricted zones. Parking is pay and display in Kings Street or on South Quay.

The Row Houses themselves are an indoor, guided visit and we wouldn't plan on taking a dog inside — the interiors are confined and dogs aren't covered by any published access rules here. That said, the location works well if you're happy to split your visit: South Quay is a short walk away, and beyond that you have miles of open beach and dunes at the north denes, much of it dog friendly.
