Book now

Llwyn Onn is an attractive detached house with period features, set high above Aberdovey with wonderful views over its coastline. Friends and family, the dogs included, can unwind or keep busy here. This dog friendly house sleeps eight with two dogs, and its large enclosed garden shares those views.

At the end of the hallway corridor is a boot room, the first stop when everyone troops back from the beach with the dogs. The stylish kitchen diner has fabulous coastal views and is a sociable room for cooking and sharing meals, and a utility down a few steps holds the washing machine, tumble dryer and a second fridge. The lounge, with comfortable seating and its Smart TV, is for long chats into the night. Five bedrooms are reached by two staircases: a double with sea views from the kitchen stair, and from the hallway a king-size with dual aspect sea views and a TV, a twin, a single and an en suite double, plus the family bathroom.

At the front a patio with a bistro set suits morning coffee, and from there you walk down to the large enclosed garden, with its lawn, garden games, established shrubs and al fresco dining area. The dogs can explore while the panoramic coastal views carry on from sunrise to sunset. Bikes have a covered store with a rack at the back.

The village centre is a 10 minute walk, with pastel coloured townhouses, friendly pubs, restaurants and independent shops. A championship links golf course sits above a long curve of sandy beach, the Old Roman Road leads to Picnic Island for an outing with the dogs, and the Dyfi Estuary is wonderful for wildlife, fishing and sailing.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is Llwyn Onn dog friendly?

Yes, Llwyn Onn welcomes two dogs. The house has been well thought through for travelling with dogs — there's a boot room at the end of the hall to keep wet coats and muddy paws away from the rest of the house, and a large enclosed garden where dogs can roam freely without you having to worry about boundaries.

  • Are dogs allowed at Llwyn Onn year round?

The listing doesn't specify any seasonal restrictions on dogs, so it's worth checking directly with the owner when you book to confirm availability for your dates. What we can say is that the surrounding area — including the long curve of beach below and the old Roman road out to Picnic Island — makes it a genuinely rewarding base for dogs at any time of year.

  • What should I know before visiting Llwyn Onn with my dog?

The house is set up well for dogs: a dedicated boot room handles everything wet and muddy before it reaches the rest of the property, and the large enclosed garden gives two dogs a secure space to let off steam with views down over the coast. The beach at Aberdyfi is within minutes of the house, and the Roman road along the hillside to Picnic Island makes for a good longer outing — though the terrain around the house is hilly, so be prepared for some gradient on walks.
