Lobster Pot Cottage is a charming, seaside inspired cottage in the delightful coastal village of Seaview, where an exclusive lane leads directly to the beaches at Seagrove Bay and Priory Bay, less than a mile away. It makes a dog friendly coastal escape for six, and two dogs are welcome.

A spacious hall with a bench greets you, the twin room to its right. The lounge has sea views, comfortable seating, a desk for creative pursuits and an open fire, the cosy spot for an evening with a book while two dogs warm themselves in front of it. Large windows brighten the kitchen, where benches line a spacious dining table and a door opens to the garden, and on this floor you will also find a WC and a utility room doubling as a shower room.

Upstairs, the king size bedroom has lovely sea views to wake up to, the bunk room suits younger guests, and the bathroom alongside has a bath with a handheld shower. Out in the sunny enclosed garden, the decked terrace has a BBQ, comfortable furniture and cosy sofas, with a grassy area for the dogs, and Sally's Riding School horses rest in the field behind the cottage. Toys, board games and DVDs are there for the evenings.

Seaview's quaint streets have delightful little shops showcasing unique crafts and artisan goods, and the village has a warm community feel. The water is excellent for sailing, windsurfing and paddling, there are leisurely walks along the coastline, and easy bridleway access opens up the scenic surroundings for exploring with the dogs.

We research every description carefully and believe it to be accurate, but details can change. Please confirm anything important, especially dog rules, with the booking agent or property owner before you book.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is Lobster Pot Cottage - Seaview dog friendly?

Yes, Lobster Pot Cottage welcomes dogs — up to two of them. It's a three-bedroom cottage sleeping six in Seaview on the Isle of Wight, with an enclosed garden and a ground floor shower room right by the garden door, which makes coming and going with sandy dogs a straightforward business.

  • Are dogs allowed at Lobster Pot Cottage - Seaview year round?

The listing doesn't specify any seasonal restrictions on dogs, so it's worth checking directly with the property when you book. What we can say is that the beach at Seaview is 0.4 miles away, and a sheltered sandy bay rather than the shingle that dominates much of this coastline — good news whatever time of year you visit.

  • What should I know before visiting Lobster Pot Cottage - Seaview with my dog?

The cottage takes a maximum of two dogs, so it's worth confirming that with whoever you book through. Practically speaking, the ground floor shower room sits just a few paces from the garden door — handy for a post-beach rinse — and the beach itself is a 0.4-mile walk downhill through the village of Seaview, so a lead through the narrow streets will be useful.
