This contemporary first floor apartment at Osmington, near Weymouth, is a dog friendly retreat for two adults, one of four properties in an exclusive development, and it welcomes one dog too.

A stable door opens into a beautiful king size bedroom under a vaulted ceiling, with an en suite shower room off it, and next door is a spacious, open plan living space with kitchen and dining table, carefully decorated in a contemporary style. Bi-fold doors lead from the lounge out onto the balcony, and evenings bring meals for two around the table and a programme on the TV, the dog settled nearby.

The enclosed garden has an area of lawn for the dog and a terrace with a private hot tub, and from a spy hole in the garden there are distant sea views across the bay. An evening soak, the dog stretched on the lawn and the light going over the water is the shape of most days here.

Ringstead Bay, Durdle Door and the much photographed Lulworth Cove are all within easy reach, and the beach is 2 miles away.
