The Log Cabin is a contemporary lodge style property in an elevated position at Osmington, with distant sea views over rolling countryside and a private hot tub to enjoy them from. It is one of four properties in an exclusive development, a dog friendly hideaway where two adults and two dogs share the space, and an excellent base for the Jurassic Coast.

Double doors open into one spacious open plan room beneath a vaulted ceiling, carefully decorated in a contemporary style. There is a table for relaxed meals for two, a TV for the evening programme and a well equipped kitchen, and the two dogs will happily settle in while dinner comes together. From the kitchen a door opens into the spacious king size bedroom, which is en suite.

A stable door from the bedroom opens onto the enclosed garden. Out there is an area of artificial lawn, garden furniture and a gravel terrace with the hot tub, and from the garden there are distant views right out across the bay. Sink into the hot water with a glass of something cold while both dogs stretch out on the lawn beside you.

Durdle Door, Ringstead Bay and Lulworth Cove are within easy reach, three of the Jurassic Coast's most iconic sights, and a short drive brings a cliffside pub and a local farm shop. Weymouth has a popular sandy beach, a historic harbour and plenty of cafes, and the causeway leads on to Portland, where the lighthouse and a walk along Chesil Beach round off a long day with the dogs.
