Some pitches have a hot tub and they are old metal baths rather than anything moulded, heated from below. Your dog gets a stove, a wooden floor and a fire pit to lie the wrong distance from.

That is a good description of a week here with a dog: a long lead walk in the morning, an afternoon that does not go anywhere, and two portable pizza ovens for whenever hunger arrives.
Alton sits on the edge of the South Downs National Park and the dog walking off the farm is chalk, hangers and beech woodland. Gilbert White's house at Selborne and Jane Austen's at Chawton are both very close. Winchester is a short drive, and the coast at West Wittering is about an hour if the week wants a beach in it.
