1 / 16Paddock End
Witton, Norfolk
A one bedroom bungalow for two at Witton near Norwich, all on one level, with a large enclosed garden, a private hot tub and two dogs welcome free of charge.
Two people, two dogs and a large garden fenced round for them. Paddock End is a detached bungalow for a couple at Witton, just outside Norwich, reached down a tree lined drive and kept for adults only. It is a dog friendly retreat in the full sense, with both dogs staying free and a welcome pack of doggy extras waiting on arrival.
The garden is large and enclosed, with open fields beyond it, and it is private to the bungalow. The private hot tub sits in the same garden, room in it for five, so the dogs can wander the lawn while their people sit in the water watching the light go. At night the stars come out over the fields in numbers.
Everything is on one level, with a single step at the door. The living and dining room has an electric fire and looks out over the neighbouring horse paddock, which gives any dog something to watch. The kitchen has a wine cooler, the utility room takes the muddy towels, and the bedroom has an antique style king size bed and a walk-in shower. It suits a couple who want nothing more complicated from a week than a walk, a soak and an early night.
Wroxham, the busiest village on the Broads, is about fifteen minutes' drive, with boats for hire along the rivers. Norwich is closer still, a medieval city with a cathedral, a castle and a great many lanes to explore. There is a secure dog exercise field a few minutes away at Salhouse, and the coast at Sea Palling has dunes and sand where dogs are allowed on parts of the beach.

Book with cottages.comFrequently Asked Questions
Is Paddock End dog friendly?
Paddock End is thoroughly dog friendly — up to two dogs are welcome and stay completely free of charge. There's a welcome pack of doggy extras waiting on arrival, a large enclosed garden for them to roam, and open fields beyond the fence to explore on walks.
Are dogs allowed at Paddock End year round?
The listing doesn't specify any seasonal restrictions on dogs, and nothing in the details suggests otherwise. It's worth contacting the owner directly to confirm availability for your dates, but Paddock End reads very much like a place set up to welcome dogs as a matter of course, not as an afterthought.
What should I know before visiting Paddock End with my dog?
The garden is large, enclosed and private to the bungalow, so your dogs can be out while you relax in the hot tub. The bungalow is all on one level with just a single step at the door, which makes it easy going for older or less agile dogs. If your dogs need a proper run off lead, there's a secure dog exercise field a few minutes away at Salhouse, and the beach at Sea Palling allows dogs on parts of the sand.
