Side Farm Campsite sits on the shores of Ullswater at Patterdale, one of the best-located dog friendly campsites in the Lake District. The site offers direct access to the lake and to some of the most iconic walking trails in the region, including Helvellyn and the Glenridding fells. It is a relaxed, outdoors-focused site with plenty of open space and a real mountain-camping feel.
Dogs are allowed everywhere on site, and morning walks along the shoreline or up into the fells start right from the pitch. Glenridding's Travellers Rest Inn and Fellbites Cafe are both dog friendly and make easy options for food and drink. Dogs can also travel on the Ullswater Steamers, giving a memorable and genuinely dog friendly way to explore the lake from the water.
