The kitchen and its dining end are the centre of it: an island with one burner beside it, floor to ceiling doors onto the garden and a table under them. Upstairs, a king with a shower room attached, a double, a twin and the family bathroom.

Semerwater lies south, the only natural lake of any size in the Dales, fells coming down to the water. Aysgarth steps its falls through woodland to the east. It is quiet country, walled lanes and open fell, with miles of both for a dog.
