Set in the heart of the original farmyard at Park Farm, with views across the surrounding countryside, The Stables takes four guests and one dog in a dog friendly barn of real character. It is reached through electric gates and sits within an enclosed garden, which has been provided as a secure place for dogs to run free, and there is ample space set aside in the surrounding fields for walks and exercise.
Double doors open into a cool, contemporary space where lounge, kitchen and dining area run together, finished with colourful furnishings, industrial lighting and many of the original features. There is a breakfast bar for a coffee while the day gets planned and the dog waits hopefully by the door, and underfloor heating keeps the whole place warm. Two bedrooms open off the lounge, each with a Smart TV. One has a king-size bed, and in the other the zip and link king-size becomes twins on request.
The enclosed garden includes a patio, its table and chairs set out for meals in the open air, so supper can move outdoors while the dog takes another lap of the garden. Bikes have their own storage, and over Christmas The Stables is dressed for the festivities. It is a country bolt hole in every sense, with the walking starting at the farm.
