Vaulted ceilings and exposed beams run right through The Stone Byre, a traditional barn set at the centre of the old farmyard, where well waymarked footpaths lead straight out into the Gloucestershire countryside. It sleeps four and welcomes one dog, and a secure garden has been provided for dogs to run free, so walkers and their dogs are well looked after at this dog friendly barn.
Electric gates open on the way in, with views as you approach. Double doors lead into a spacious kitchen/diner, cool and contemporary under the beams, with a coffee machine for the morning and a table for four. In the lounge, large, comfortable seating gathers round a wood burner effect gas stove and a Smart TV, there is underfloor heating, and the dog will soon settle by the fire.
Two sets of double doors lead out to the patio and garden. One bedroom is at each end of the barn, both with TVs and en-suites: a king-size with a bath and overhead shower, and a king-size zip and link with a shower. Outdoors there is plenty of room front and back, with lawn, patio and landscaping before the barn, and behind it a raised seating area with wooden steps down to more lawn, where the dog can make the most of the grass.
The fields around the barn have ample room kept aside for the dog's daily exercise, and further afield the Malverns and the Forest of Dean are close enough for a day's walking. Ledbury is a fascinating market town to explore, the Cotswold villages make a day out, and Cheltenham is famed for its races and festivals.
