The Tottie Hut stands in the private orchard of a 60 acre working equestrian centre, and it has a secluded, fully enclosed garden of its own, fenced and hedged, where two dogs are welcome to settle in. This luxurious shepherd's hut is a dog friendly romantic retreat for two in a beautiful rural spot near South Queensferry, with Edinburgh just 7 miles away.
Step in from the garden to the open plan living area, finished to a five star standard, with comfortable chairs and a Smart TV for a film night. There is a well equipped kitchen area, a dining area for romantic evenings, a bedroom area with a lovely king size bed, and a gorgeous shower room with a large cubicle. A welcome pack is included, and the dogs find their spot quickly while the bags come in.
Outside in the enclosed garden there is a Weber charcoal barbecue, a bistro set and a lovely fire pit for lazy evenings stargazing, along with a private wood fired hot tub to unwind in, and a sauna a short stroll away on the other side of the orchard. Horses pass by on the far side of the tall hedge in the mornings and late afternoons, and guests are asked to keep their dogs in the enclosed garden area and on a lead near the paddocks.
Guests are welcome to meet, walk and groom the Shetland ponies on site, and to watch the horses grazing or training. South Queensferry, 2 miles off, has quality eateries, coffee shops, friendly inns, beaches and the Fife Coastal Path to explore with the dogs, and Edinburgh's castle, galleries and gardens are an easy trip by train.
