Tindal House is a charming three storey townhouse in the centre of Alston, newly refurbished in 2023, and eight people and two dogs can stay. At almost 1,000 feet above sea level Alston is the highest market town in England, and this dog friendly house puts the North Pennines and the northern Lake District within easy reach, with an enclosed yard off the kitchen for the dogs between outings.
The ground floor opens into a contemporary lounge and dining area, where comfortable sofas gather round a Smart TV and a cosy electric wood burner effect fire, and the two dogs stretch out there once the exploring is over. There is room at the dining table for the whole party, the modern kitchen has everything a budding chef could need, and a selection of DVDs, books, games and toys waits alongside a Bluetooth speaker and a welcome pack.
Two floors of bedrooms rise above: a king, a double and the family bathroom with its separate shower and bath on the first, then a double with an ottoman bed and a twin under high ceilings on the second, with a shower room of their own.
