This carefully restored barn conversion at Town End Farm, in the village of Airton, welcomes six people and two dogs for a dog friendly break, full of exposed beams and charming stone walls.
The entrance opens into a lounge with a vaulted ceiling and a captivating feature window that fills the room with light and frames the Dales beyond. The kitchen and diner has a farmhouse table for family meals, and it is where the dogs wait, hopefully, while dinner is served.
There is a cosy double bedroom on the ground floor, while the original stone steps lead up to two more, each with feature beams and delightful views, one with twin beds, the other a king size with its own shower room. The family bathroom has a spa bath to end a long walking day. Out in the garden, with its patio, furniture and barbecue, the dogs settle down as the evening comes in over the view.
On site there is a fantastic farm shop and cafe, and a 1 mile walk takes you and the dogs to the charming village of Kirkby Malham and its country inn. Malham Cove is 3 miles away, with Gordale Scar and Janet's Foss close by, and Grassington, Kettlewell and Skipton, the Gateway to the Dales, are all easy days out.
