Three dogs are welcome at Ty Asyn, a super stylish detached seaside bungalow in the village of Fairbourne, with a log burner, a hot tub and all the thoughtful little extras. The sea is within easy reach for the dogs, and this dog friendly bungalow sleeps six.

The hall has a coat and boot area for the return from the sand, and to the right the stylish kitchen has granite work surfaces and everything needed to cook for family and friends. The dining room has plenty of space for everyone to gather. After a full day out, the lounge is the place for comfortable seating and the Smart TV, and once its wood burner is lit, the first logs provided, three dogs will be spread across the floor in front of it before long.

Feature doors lead through to the games conservatory, with table football and access to the garden. The garden wraps round the property, with lawn to the front, and the enclosed back garden is paved, home to the hot tub, the garden furniture and the charcoal BBQ, a fine place to linger with the dogs after supper. Bikes, canoes and paddleboards all have storage space out there too. The three bedrooms are two king size rooms and a room with full size bunk beds, and the bathroom is a stylish one.

Fairbourne has a 9 hole links golf course, a play area, a miniature steam railway and a water taxi across to Barmouth Harbour, and the coast and countryside around the village give the dogs plenty to explore. The Mawddach Trail is 6 miles away, with Cadair Idris and the footpaths of Snowdonia National Park beyond for bigger days.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is Ty Asyn - Donkey House dog friendly?

Yes, Ty Asyn welcomes up to three dogs. The bungalow has been set up with dogs genuinely in mind — there's a coat and boot area in the hall, a paved back yard that handles muddy paws far better than grass would, and the sea is just 0.2 miles from the front door.

  • Are dogs allowed at Ty Asyn - Donkey House year round?

The listing doesn't specify seasonal restrictions on dogs, and the property's practical setup — hot tub in an enclosed yard, wood burner in the lounge, proper boot storage — suggests it's used comfortably across the seasons. It's worth confirming directly with the owner when you book.

  • What should I know before visiting Ty Asyn - Donkey House with my dog?

The property takes up to three dogs, so check that works for your group before booking. Fairbourne's long shingle and sand beach faces west along a spit, and a dog can run it end to end without crossing a road — it's a genuinely good setup for active dogs. There's also a store for bikes, canoes and paddleboards on site, so if your dog is up for water adventures, you're in the right place.
