Docking stands five miles back from the sea, which on this stretch of Norfolk is a rarer address than it sounds and is most of the point of the place. Yeomans is the dog friendly house here, seven people across four bedrooms, two dogs allowed, with an enclosed garden and a patio out behind it.
The ground floor holds a lounge with two long sofas turned towards a wood burner, its first basket of logs supplied, and a kitchen whose table will seat eight. Between the village and the water the country is arable and gently rolling, lanes leaving Docking in five directions with almost nothing on them.
