Brownsover Hall Hotel

Rugby, Warwickshire

Yes. Dogs can stay in selected rooms.

A Gothic Revival country house hotel in Rugby, where dogs are welcome in Frank's Bar, the foyer lounges and 43 acres of grounds, with a dog bed waiting.

Set within 43 acres of landscaped grounds, Brownsover Hall in Rugby was rebuilt in the grand Gothic Revival style by 1877 and reborn as a hotel in the 1970s. Inside, antiques and hand-painted wallpapers tell the house's history. Nobody gets left behind at this dog friendly hotel, whose grounds are made for stretching two legs or four.

The dog-friendly bedrooms are subject to availability, so mention your dog to the team when booking. Waiting in the room are a dog bed, blanket, bowls and treats. The house rules: sign a short pet waiver on arrival, check paws and coats are clean and dry before coming back inside, keep dogs off beds and furniture and on a lead around the hotel, and have flea treatment up to date. The dog page does not state a limit per room.

Dogs can join you in Frank's Bar, which has been a bar room since the Hall was built and serves expertly crafted cocktails, local spirits and wines. Scotts Brasserie, housed in what used to be the chapel, is open all day for breakfast, lunch and dinner, using ingredients from the hotel's own Beech Hill Farm, and Boughton's serves brunch and afternoon tea with seats by the open fire. The dog policy does not mention Scotts or Boughton's, so check with the hotel first if you want to eat together.

Of the 48 rooms, spread between the manor house, the Stable Block and the Coach House, the Egerton Suite has a spiral stone staircase coiling up into turret chambers. Out in the gardens there are nooks, crannies and secret spots to explore, and dogs are welcome around The Hatch outside as well as across the grounds.

Facts checked October 2026 from the hotel's own website. Details can change, so please confirm anything important, especially the dog rules, with the hotel before you book.
