1 / 8Glen Clova Estate
Millton of Clova, Angus
Yes. Dogs can stay in 8 dog friendly rooms, up to 2 dogs per room.
A countryside hotel in the heart of the Angus Glens, where the eight steading rooms all take dogs and walks, hikes and swimming spots start at the door.
Glen Clova Estate sits in the heart of the Angus Glens, with Glen Doll, Corrie Fee and the surrounding hills to explore. This dog friendly hotel divides its accommodation plainly: the eight rooms in the steading building all take dogs, the ten rooms in the main hotel take none, and you step out of your door into walks, hikes and places to swim.
The steading rooms stand a 30-second walk from the main building, and up to two well behaved dogs are welcome in each of them. Bring a third and the hotel asks to hear from you first, since additional dogs may be accepted on application. Double, twin and family rooms are available, each with an en-suite shower room, and a full Scottish breakfast follows; a paved path runs between the steading and the hotel.
Dogs are welcome in Climbers Bar, where fresh water is always on hand and the drinks are local, from Gin Bothy gins to Burnside Brewery ales and the estate's own Clova Ale. The Brandy Bothy is a dog friendly space as well, informal, looking over the decking and the countryside, with the same menu. Glen Logie is the main dining room, with a large bay window over the glens and a menu of home-cooked dishes and modern classics.
Rooms in the main hotel run from classic doubles to family and four-poster rooms, and the estate fills the days around them: fishing on the River South Esk and Loch Heath, wild swimming, and clay pigeon shooting the team can arrange. The Glen Clova Circular Walk, one of the dog friendly walks on our map, is 1 mile away.
