1 / 8The Fitzwilliam Hotel Belfast
Belfast
Yes. Dogs can stay in selected rooms, up to 1 dog per room.
A five star boutique hotel in the heart of Belfast, where a small to medium dog gets a water bowl, a treat and a toy.
The Fitzwilliam is five star boutique Belfast, 146 rooms and suites next to Grand Central Station and next door to the Grand Opera House. Well behaved dogs are welcome at this dog friendly hotel, and the concierge team can give you details of dog friendly venues in the city for when you are out.
One dog to a room, in one of a selected number of dog friendly bedrooms, and small to medium dogs only, up to 12kg. The dog has to be booked and confirmed with the reservations team in advance, and all dogs should be house trained, and the hotel cannot accept puppies. A water bowl, a welcome treat and a toy come with the booking, biscuit snacks are there on request, and your dog's usual bed is one to pack. Dogs stay on a leash in the public areas and the lobby, are never left unattended in the room, and an owner has to be present whenever a member of staff is in the room with the dog.
Dogs are allowed to relax in the lobby, but not in The Bar or The Restaurant, so dinner is a night off: fresh contemporary food with an AA Rosette, and afternoon tea with home baked scones and clotted cream.
A 24 hour gym covers the exercise indoors, and the city is the rest of it, with Great Victoria Street at the door. Divis and Black Mountain Ridge Trail, 2.4 miles out, is the nearest of Wildpack's walks, and Greencastle Beach is 3.1 miles away, its dog rules on its own page.
Facts checked October 2026 from the hotel's own website. Details can change, so please confirm anything important, especially the dog rules, with the hotel before you book.
