Tucked away on a country lane at Rushton Spencer, Cosy Nook is a dog friendly hideaway for a couple, with wonderful countryside views at the back and a garden that catches the sun throughout the day. It takes three dogs of up to medium size, or two large dogs, and from the fully enclosed garden a gate opens into an open natural field where they have extra space to play.
The solid oak kitchen is exceptionally well equipped, down to a coffee machine and a slow cooker, and the refurbished bathroom off it is a large space in beautiful soft tones with a walk-in shower. The lounge doubles as the dining room, with a reclaimed wood floor and a beautiful beamed ceiling, shelves of books, CDs and DVDs, a Smart TV with Sky, and a wood burner effect gas fire for the dogs to doze beside once evening comes.
Upstairs is a twin bedroom with a very comfortable amount of storage. Outside there are three separate places to sit, with seating on both sides of the cottage so you can follow the sun all day, and a BBQ for the evenings. The garden is beautifully laid out, peaceful and secluded, and a hose is ready for muddy paws whenever the dogs return from a romp in the field.
The Peak District begins just 3 miles away, and Leek, with its shops, restaurants and cafes, is 5.5 miles. Dramatic moorland waits to be discovered, and the countryside of Cheshire, the Staffordshire Moorlands and Derbyshire is all within reach whenever you and the dogs fancy new ground.
