This well appointed detached cottage sleeps four on a magnificent 9,000 acre country estate near Lockerbie, close to the River Annan, with a cosy log burning stove and lovely walks on the doorstep.
The ground floor is generous. A large, spacious kitchen has an electric range oven and gas hob, a walk through utility room takes the washing, and the family dining room, with its log burning stove, is dual aspect, a lovely place to linger after dinner while the dogs settle by the stove.
There is also a bright and airy conservatory porch and a separate living room with comfy seating and lovely views of the enclosed garden, where the dogs can be watched from the window as they make their rounds. The shower room is on the ground floor, and upstairs two beautiful double bedrooms have zip and link king size beds that can be made up as twins.
Enchanting walking trails surround the cottage, with the Annandale Way less than 1 mile away, and within the grounds you will find salmon fishing on the River Annan, the Hoddom Castle golf course and a welcoming pub. Annan, Lockerbie and Dumfries have excellent shopping, the Solway Firth offers 200 miles of rugged coastline for big days out with the dogs, while the 7stanes trails nearby suit mountain biking.
