Howgill Lodge is a dog friendly place to camp or glamp, set on a hillside near Bolton Abbey, with sweeping views of the Wharfe Valley and traditional dry stone walls. Terraced pitches give each tent or van wide valley views and a picnic bench. Obedient dogs are very welcome in the camping field, and three of the timber lodges, The Twitcher, The Shepherd and The Fisherman, take dogs too, each with a fully enclosed garden and a private hot tub.
Around the site dogs stay on leads and are never left unattended, with bins around the site for clean ups. For a proper run, the large dog walking field and agility course, with jumps, a seesaw, a tunnel and weave poles, has plenty of room for off lead exercise. The Bolton Abbey estate's riverside and moorland paths are reached directly from the site and the Craven Arms and the New Inn are both in Appletreewick, 2 miles away.
