Chapel St. Leonards, Lincolnshire
A renovated redbrick bungalow for eight at Chapel St Leonards, all on one level, a short walk from the beach, with two fully enclosed gardens and up to three dogs welcome.
Fully enclosed gardens front and rear make Ivanhoe a great choice for anyone travelling with dogs. The current owners have transformed this redbrick bungalow into a stylish, dog friendly retreat in the seaside resort of Chapel St Leonards, a short walk from the beach. Three dogs are welcome provided none is larger than medium sized, or two larger dogs may come instead.
Everything is on the one level and designed with comfort in mind. Five bedrooms, three doubles, a bunk room and a single, suit families holidaying across the generations, and there are two spacious, stylish bathrooms. Kitchen, dining area and lounge flow together in one open plan space, and the dining table extends to seat the whole group. In the tastefully furnished lounge there are comfortable sofas and a Smart TV, and from there patio doors give onto the decking, which the dogs will be in and out of all evening.
The decking at the rear has outdoor furniture for everyone to sit out together, and the front garden is enclosed as well, which gives the dogs a choice of two. After a day on the sand it is easy to picture the group gathered on the deck while the dogs settle down at last.
Cafes, pubs and amusement arcades are all close by, and the livelier resorts of Ingoldmells, with its Fantasy Island theme park, and Skegness are within easy reach. Nature lovers can explore the coastal flora and fauna of the nearby nature reserves with the dogs, and Anderby Creek Beach, 3.5 miles away, is a lovely stretch of sand along the Lincolnshire coast.

Is Ivanhoe dog friendly?
Yes, Ivanhoe welcomes dogs. The house accepts three dogs at small or medium size, or two larger ones, so it works well for multi-dog households as long as you factor in the size limit when booking.
Are dogs allowed at Ivanhoe year round?
The listing doesn't specify seasonal restrictions on dogs, but we'd recommend contacting the property directly to confirm availability and any conditions around your stay.
What should I know before visiting Ivanhoe with my dog?
The layout here is worth knowing in advance: the enclosed, fenced garden is at the front of the house rather than the back, which is the opposite of most properties on this stretch of coast. The rear of the house has a patio with furniture, but it's the front garden that's the secure space for dogs — handy to know the moment you open the car doors. There's also a ground floor bedroom and shower room, which the description notes tends to become a favourite sleeping spot for dogs.
