Ingoldmells Beach

Lincolnshire

Dog Friendly Rating:6/10A Blue Flag sandy beach next to Fantasy Island with year-round dog access on the southern section, one of the few Lincolnshire resort beaches free of seasonal dog restrictions.

Ingoldmells Beach is a sandy Blue Flag beach on the Lincolnshire coast north of Skegness, backing a lively resort village that is home to Fantasy Island, one of the UK's largest free-entry amusement parks. The beach is wide and sandy with amusement arcades, cafes, rides and the full range of traditional seaside attractions along the front. The beach is popular with families and draws large numbers during the summer season. The South Beach at Ingoldmells is the dog friendly section, lying away from the most concentrated resort activity near the Fantasy Island complex.

Ingoldmells South Beach is one of the few Lincolnshire resort beaches to offer year-round dog access with no PSPO ban: dogs are welcome on the southern section at all times. This is explicitly listed among the dog friendly beaches under East Lindsey's PSPO framework. The combination of easy access, facilities nearby and no seasonal restrictions makes it a useful and popular dog friendly destination on this stretch of coast. Public toilets are available near the beach, along with cafes and shops.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is Ingoldmells Beach dog friendly?

Yes, Ingoldmells Beach has a designated dog friendly section at South Beach, away from the busier resort area near the Fantasy Island complex. It's one of the few resort beaches on the Lincolnshire coast that welcomes dogs, and is explicitly listed as a dog friendly beach under East Lindsey's PSPO framework.

  • Are dogs allowed at Ingoldmells Beach year round?

Yes — and this is one of the things that makes Ingoldmells South Beach stand out on this stretch of coast. Unlike many seaside resorts that impose seasonal dog bans during summer, Ingoldmells South Beach has no such restrictions, so you can visit with your dog at any time of year.

  • What should I know before visiting Ingoldmells Beach with my dog?

The key thing to keep in mind is that dog access applies to South Beach specifically, which sits away from the main concentration of resort activity around Fantasy Island — so it's worth heading to the southern end of the beach. Facilities are good, with public toilets, cafes, shops and car parks all nearby, making it a reasonably convenient day out with a dog.
