Book now

Kingsland Cottage stands on a working farm near the pretty village of Reynoldston, in the heart of the Gower Peninsula close to the Cefn Bryn ridge, and from here you are never usually more than 3 miles from the coast. It is a charming, semi detached dog friendly cottage for four, with two dogs welcome and an enclosed garden that looks across the beautiful Rhossili Downs.

The way in is through a useful boot room with a WC, the right first stop for two dogs, and on into a well equipped kitchen and diner where the table seats four. The characterful lounge has a beamed ceiling, plenty of comfortable seating, an impressive grandfather clock, a warming wood burner and a Smart TV, with French doors out to the rear garden. Up the stairs are a good sized double and a king size zip and link with pleasant rural views, and the bathroom across the landing has a bath and a separate shower.

Outside, the enclosed garden has a lawn, mature trees and a patio with rattan furniture, and the dogs will be glad of it between walks. This is a working farm, so dogs are to be kept on a lead outside the enclosed area designated for them, and lambing takes place on the farm through February. Dobermanns, Rottweilers, German Shepherds and Huskies can only come if authorised by the owner before booking.

Gower was the first Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Cefn Bryn ridge suits a walk with the dogs, a day at one of the renowned sandy beaches of Oxwich, Rhossili or Port Eynon is a must, and Mumbles has a good range of independent shops and eateries.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is Kingsland Cottage dog friendly?

Yes, Kingsland Cottage welcomes up to two dogs. They have free run of the enclosed garden directly through the French doors from the lounge, and there's a bath and shower upstairs for washing off the sand after a day out.

  • Are dogs allowed at Kingsland Cottage year round?

The listing doesn't specify any seasonal restrictions on dogs, so it appears they're welcome throughout the year. If you're visiting at a specific time and want to be certain, it's worth confirming directly with the property.

  • What should I know before visiting Kingsland Cottage with my dog?

Kingsland Cottage sits on a working farm, so leads are required before you go through the gate — something to bear in mind each time you head out. Once back at the cottage, the enclosed garden is yours to enjoy freely, and the bathroom comes equipped with both a bath and a shower, which is genuinely useful when two dogs come home sandy from Gower's beaches.
