Lower Nash, Pembrokeshire
A magnificent farmhouse near Pembroke, refurbished in 2022 and sleeping twelve, with a large enclosed garden, a wood fired hot tub, a games room and two dogs welcome.
Lower Nash Farmhouse sits down a quiet country lane near the village of Cosheston, where a tidal river reaches right up to the roadside. Comprehensively refurbished in 2022, this five star farmhouse is a magnificent, dog friendly home for twelve people, with two dogs welcome.
A handy boot room is the way in, so muddy boots stay behind after a walk with the dogs. The lounge has a traditional stone fireplace with a wood burner at its heart and comfortable seating for eight to ten, and next door the games room keeps the younger ones busy with its pool table. The kitchen is the real heart of the house, flooded with natural light, with a double oven, two dishwashers and a wine chiller, and a dining table that overlooks the lawns and open fields at the back.
A downstairs double has its own en-suite, and a beautiful wooden staircase climbs to five spacious bedrooms, among them a master with a four-poster king-size bed, with four en-suites and a family bathroom between them. The large enclosed garden at the rear is home to a newly installed wood fired hot tub, a patio with garden furniture, a charcoal BBQ and mature trees and shrubs, with fields beyond. Two dogs stretched out on the patio while the hot tub heats up is a fine way to end a day.
Historic Pembroke is a short drive, with its Norman castle, the birthplace of Henry Tudor, and a good choice of independent shops and restaurants. The nearest beaches are 3.5 miles off, Freshwater East is a short drive, and Broad Haven South, with its lily ponds and tea room, is a few minutes further for a long walk with the dogs.

Book with holidaycottages.co.ukFrequently Asked Questions
Is Lower Nash Farmhouse dog friendly?
Yes, Lower Nash Farmhouse welcomes up to two dogs. The house has a large enclosed garden that backs onto open fields, so both dogs can roam freely outside without needing to be kept on a lead or shut indoors.
Are dogs allowed at Lower Nash Farmhouse year round?
The listing doesn't specify any seasonal restrictions on dogs, and nothing in the property details suggests otherwise. If you want to confirm availability for a specific date, it's worth checking directly with the host when you book.
What should I know before visiting Lower Nash Farmhouse with my dog?
The garden is fully enclosed and the fence runs all the way round, including the hot tub area, so your dogs can be outside with everyone rather than shut away. You come in through a boot room, which is handy for muddy paws after a walk — and the 2022 kitchen is described as unbothered by a wet dog passing through. Nearby, a tidal creek at Cosheston and Pembroke Mill Pond (under two miles away) make for easy morning walks.
