Mouse Manor is a historic Yorkshire barn, lovingly restored into a luxurious dog friendly home for four, with views across the lush green pastures of Wensleydale in every direction. Two dogs are welcome, there is plenty of space for them alongside the family, and a footpath leads straight from the property for the first stroll of the day.
Everything is on one floor, gathered round an impressive open plan space. At one end, the lounge has a traditional wood burner, comfortable seating and floor to ceiling windows framing the Dales, and before the bags are unpacked both dogs have found the fire. At the opposite end is the contemporary kitchen, and when dinner is done the dining table flips over to reveal a full size pool table.
In the master bedroom, an oak sleigh super king is matched by an en suite with an elliptical bath and an infrared sauna, and the spacious twin has its own shower room. Outside, the hot tub looks out across the countryside, a paved terrace with seating is made for morning coffee, and there is an enclosed garden area with seating where the dogs can join you in the open air.
Leyburn, 4 miles away, is home to the Forbidden Corner, Middleham Castle and the peaceful Harmby Waterfall, along with independent shops and eateries, and the market town of Bedale is 7 miles off. Finghall, less than two miles away, has a rural station on the Wensleydale steam railway, and there is a welcoming pub within a mile for the end of a walk with the dogs.
