Park Cliffe is a dog friendly camping and caravan park with views over Windermere and the fells and mountains beyond, 3 miles from Bowness-on-Windermere and its lake cruises and independent shops. Tents, tourers and motorhomes have their own pitches, and dogs can also stay in every camping pod except the Family Vista and Deluxe Pods and in certain static caravans, though not in the shepherd's hut. Squirrels, roe and red deer and foxes live all around the park.
Well trained dogs are welcome on the park, kept on a lead and exercised in the designated areas, and the park reserves the right to refuse certain breeds. Pitches take up to two dogs and dog friendly pods one, with a nightly charge per dog, while the static caravans that take dogs (again up to two, no dangerous breeds) are booked ahead with a charge per booking. In the evening, well behaved dogs are welcome in the dog friendly room in Fellside Bar and out on its terrace, with seasonal hours.
