1 / 24Pen Y Glyn Barn
Cwmcamlais, Powys
A six bedroom barn conversion for fourteen on a working farm near Sennybridge, with a drying room, a games area, a hot tub, a fire pit and two dogs welcome.
Fourteen people share six bedrooms and five bathrooms in an attractive barn conversion tucked in a peaceful valley on the grounds of a working farm. Pen Y Glyn Barn is five star and dog friendly, near Sennybridge, with an enclosed garden and a drying room. Two dogs are welcome. With the farm's livestock in the surrounding fields, dogs need to stay under control throughout the stay.
The drying room is where muddy boots are left after a day on the trails, with a useful separate WC beside it, and then the impressive open plan living space opens up, made for socialising. The whole party can gather for a film and bowls of popcorn, the dogs settled at their feet. Mealtimes are a social affair at the farmhouse style kitchen and its matching table, and the games area has pool and table football. On the ground floor there is also an elegant king-size room, en suite, and the other five bedrooms are upstairs, alongside the generous family bathroom and a stylish shower room.
There is plenty of lawn in the enclosed garden for children to play and the dogs to enjoy. The patio is a tempting spot of an evening for drinks and BBQ suppers, rounded off with marshmallows over the fire pit, and there is a bubbling sheltered hot tub too.
Numerous trails across the Brecon Beacons National Park are within easy reach for walks with the dogs. The ancient woodlands of Fforest Fawr are 6 miles away, the Dan-yr-Ogof Caves are a little further, and Brecon has plenty of places for a family meal.
