Prospect House is a beautifully converted farmhouse in the village of Greetland, on the outskirts of Sowerby Bridge, and a homely, stylish dog friendly base for six in the West Yorkshire countryside. One dog is welcome, and the large enclosed garden behind the house, with its glorious views, gives it plenty to explore.
Off the spacious entrance hall are a utility room ready for muddy boots, a downstairs WC and a large cinema room for film nights. The contemporary country kitchen has an AGA and a vast island for the Sunday roast, which is eaten under the chandelier in the dining room with the dog keeping a hopeful watch. There are two lounges: one with vaulted ceilings, countryside views and a PS4 for games, and a snug with a wood burner and deep cushioned seating, where the dog curls up contentedly near the fire.
Upstairs are three tastefully decorated bedrooms, all with lovely views. The king size and one of the doubles each have their own shower room, while the family bathroom keeps a bath for a long soak. Outside, a large gated courtyard sits at the front, and from the living area you step out to a large patio, its dining table set for drinks in the open air.
