Riverbank Cottage nestles above the River Dee, a stylish period stone cottage with original features and superb views, and it is made for friends and family, the dog included. This dog friendly cottage sleeps five and welcomes two dogs, with direct access to the river for fishing and Llangollen 3.7 miles away.
You walk straight into the stylish kitchen, flooded with natural light, and to the right are the utility boot room and a bathroom, just where they are wanted when the dogs come in from a muddy walk. The dining table is the place to gather, bifold glass doors can divide it from the lounge, and there a cosy wood burner, comfortable seating and a Smart TV wait for the evening. Upstairs are two bedrooms with lovely views, a double and a bunk room with a double below and a single above, and an elegant shower room.
The enclosed garden outside has a lawn, established shrubs and an elevated paved patio with a table, chairs and a BBQ, the spot for morning coffee while the dogs explore the lawn. Lower down there is a wood burning hot tub, with countryside views and the sound of the river and the wildlife from sunrise to sunset. For a bigger party, Dee View Retreat next door can be booked alongside.
The local village pub is a short walk away, and the lovely Welsh lanes around the cottage are made for a stroll with the dogs. Llangollen has pubs, restaurants, independent shops, water sports and the steam railway, with the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct along the canal, Plas Newydd, Valle Crucis Abbey and Castell Dinas Bran all close, and Chirk Castle is 8 miles away.
