Sea Esta - Hayle

Hayle, Cornwall

A three bedroom house at Phillack with a properly furnished enclosed garden, one dog welcome, and Porthkidney Beach a mile and a half away.

Phillack sits at the top of Hayle above the estuary and the Towans, the dune system running three miles up the coast to Godrevy. Sea Esta is a three bedroom house there sleeping five, with an enclosed garden furnished properly rather than token, and one dog welcome.

Porthkidney, a mile and a half out, carries a nine on our map: a broad flat beach at the mouth of the Hayle estuary backed by dunes, with St Ives visible round the point. Godrevy at two and four tenths and Gwithian Towans at three and a tenth both take an eight. The cliff path running from St Ives to Zennor is three miles and takes another nine, though that one is a serious undertaking and wants a dog with the legs for it.

The garden holds a coffee table, seating, a sun lounger, an outdoor dining table and a BBQ, which is a specification most listings would call a patio and leave at that. One dog is the allowance. Three miles of dune and beach within two miles of the door means a dog here can have a genuinely different walk every day of the week without once repeating itself.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is Sea Esta - Hayle dog friendly?

Yes, Sea Esta welcomes one dog. The house has an enclosed garden that's properly kitted out with seating, a dining table, sun lounger and BBQ — so your dog has a secure outdoor space to enjoy alongside you.

  • Are dogs allowed at Sea Esta - Hayle year round?

The listing doesn't specify any seasonal restrictions on dogs, so it's worth contacting the property directly to confirm availability for your dates. What we can say is that the surrounding beaches and walks vary in their own seasonal rules, so it's always good to check those too.

  • What should I know before visiting Sea Esta - Hayle with my dog?

The allowance is one dog, so it's not the place for a multi-dog household. On the upside, the location is exceptional for dogs — Porthkidney Beach is a mile and a half away, Godrevy and Gwithian Towans are within three and a half miles, and the St Ives to Zennor cliff path is nearby for dogs with the stamina for a serious walk. Three miles of dune and beach within two miles of the door means there's genuinely no need to repeat a walk all week.
