Set on a working farm and backing onto rolling countryside, The Farmhouse At Solbury is a spacious dog friendly farmhouse sleeping four, where two dogs are welcome and the Pembrokeshire coastline is just a couple of miles away. The semi detached farmhouse sits just off Dale Road at Ratford Bridge, ideally placed for anyone who wants walking and beaches in the same week.
You step straight into the kitchen and diner, where a double height ceiling and beams give the room real character and the dogs can follow the smell of supper towards the range electric oven. A farmhouse door leads through to the comfortable lounge, with its quirky barrel tables and a wood burner, installed in 2020, whose first basket of logs is supplied, and the two dogs will soon find their place in front of it.
Outside, the enclosed garden has a sunny aspect, a lawn, a decked area and a barbecue, so the dogs have grass of their own and supper can be eaten outdoors. Upstairs are two bedrooms: a good sized double with a feature fireplace, a dressing table and rural views, and a twin that zips together into a king on request. Come Christmas the farmhouse is decorated for the season.
The beach is 2 miles away, Broad Haven North and Little Haven are both within easy reach, and the coastal path of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park is there for two dogs to explore. The castle town of Haverfordwest is close by for shops and interesting places to eat, and there are plenty of historical attractions nearby.
