Pembrokeshire: Broadhaven to St Brides Walk
Pembrokeshire
This stretch of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path runs along the long crescent of St Brides Bay between two contrasting beaches: the wide sandy surfing beach at Broad Haven, and the small, sheltered cove of St Brides Haven beneath the wooded grounds of St Brides Castle. This dog friendly walk follows the high clifftop path west via Mill Haven, with constant views over the bay to Skomer Island.
The terrain is grassy clifftop with several steep stepped descents into and out of the coves. Dogs are welcome on the path but must be kept under close control near the cliff edges and through the few sheep fields. The wide sandy beach at Broad Haven is dog friendly all year on the northern half, with seasonal restrictions on the central beach (1 May to 30 September). St Brides Haven beach is small and dog friendly all year. Multiple dog friendly cafes and pubs at Broad Haven, with pay and display parking at both ends.
