Three dogs are welcome at Affric Lodge, a tranquil, peaceful dog friendly retreat in the village of Cannich, close to the town of Beauly and in the heart of the Highlands. It sleeps four, is all on one level, and its pretty enclosed garden comes with far reaching views over the countryside.
Inside, the lodge is airy and spacious, opening into a welcoming space where lounge, kitchen and dining area run together. The lounge is cosy and bright, with a TV and lovely views, the dining area is placed to make the most of the country outside, and the stylish kitchen is fully equipped. Once the walking is done, the three dogs settle down wherever the light falls. There is a cosy king size room and a comfy bunk room, along with a shower room.
Outside, the enclosed garden has outdoor furniture and far reaching country views, the spot for morning coffee while the dogs make their first inspection of the day.
Glen Affric, Strathglass and Glen Strathfarrar are all nearby, along with Dog Falls and Plodda Falls, and it is country that three dogs will happily walk all day. Loch Ness, its exhibition centre and Urquhart Castle are within reach, as are the Highland Winery at Moniack Castle, the Glen Ord Distillery and the Black Isle, and Inverness is less than an hour away for shops, pubs and restaurants.
