It has been lovingly renovated with a contemporary twist while keeping its original features, so exposed stonework and impressive beams run throughout. Local artwork lines the lounge walls, a wood burner glows there of an evening, and the welcoming country kitchen and diner has everything for a home-cooked meal. By the time the logs are crackling, both dogs have found their place by the fire.
Upstairs, three lovely bedrooms each have their own style beneath beautiful vaulted ceilings: the king-size main bedroom enjoys excellent views, and the double and the twin lie along the corridor beside the family bathroom. Through patio doors from the lounge lies the garden, where a paved terrace with a table and chairs, a firepit and a BBQ look out on wonderful countryside views, and the lawn is ready for a picnic. With the firepit going and the dogs nosing round the grass, evenings here take care of themselves.
Walks set off directly from the doorstep, and the Bronte Waterfall, 2 miles away, is a favourite walk to take the dogs on.
